HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION FOR PROVIDING EMPOWERMENT

Our goal is to serve marginalized societal groups.

Our philosophy resonates  around the concept of  mutual aid—where a common established  goal guides our actions to ensure our  events benefit all parties involved. Our initiatives help us learn more about the challenges  different marginalized groups face. Understanding the challenges  that these demographics face allows us to tailor events to aid and empower them.

HOPE is made up of empowering, motivated, and dedicated students who are interested in helping marginalized societal groups.

WARMTH OF WINTER

During the winter months, H.O.P.E. gifted blankets to homeless members of Vancouver’s downtown east side. However, the purpose of this initiative was not only to provide these necessary supplies but also to engage in meaningful conversations. In this initiative, the goal was to learn about the ambitions, dreams, and stories of our Vancouver neighbours whose voices are often silenced by societal norms.

HOPE FOR SUCCESS

Come get ready at UBC HOPE's: Hope For Success workshop series which will offer an in-depth and comprehensive look at how to tackle university application questions with ease. UBC HOPE is dedicated to making the transition from high school to university as easy as possible with the help of our trained mentors.
